Proposal meeting was held in front of school faculty​

  1. Finding Sponsorships

Excel sheet tracking Sponsorship communications and details Bryson offered to aid here Mohamad has engsoc connection, knows someone who can automation sponsor messages

Outreach details :

  • possible university connections
  • research should be done on sponsors due to university optics and rep
  • in order to gather sponsors in person networking should be done to gather support

Sponsor Contracts

  • when sponsors are offering larger sums of money it common sponsors to require contracts, for legal matters we may require a dedicated team member
  • this may go through the university due to reputations reasons

Member Training / Waivers​

Members are all required to sign and complete a training / safety waiver, currently awaiting faculty aproval. Recruitment will begin to become more formalized from here on out.

Other required safety trainings include

  • WHMIS
  • OHSA ( Workers Health and Safety Laws)
  • Workplace Harrasement

(High Risk roles may be subject to reinterviwing due to nature of tasks)

Budgeting Tasks (Looking for volunteers (2 members))​

Looking for individuals who are capable of laying out and managing details about component budget, drone expenses and finance related tasks Bryson offered Thomas offered, already worked on certain budgeting tasks

Licensing​

Radio License

  • required due to transmitters on the drone, typically inexpensive only 1 person is needed, they need to be availble for during drone operation

Idealy we will have more than 1 person for the sake of redundancy ( contact club leads if interested)

People will require Radio and Piloting licensing , this will be done based on initiative, availiablity (TBD idealy before Phase 1 ), experience & commitment. This will be a limited position due to cost constraints.

Piloting License

Advance License ( 300$ per person, current reserves can only fit an estimated 3 people) People who wish to have licensing may do so independently and may be considered, but cost will not be covered

Recommended by Saadat: Basic testing ( 10$ ) *not required but useful for those who desire more flight information
